Show Couple exchanges vows Spring rites performed in the Salt Lake LDS temple united Miss Marlene Wardle of Salt Lake City and Darrell W. Bott of Brigham City in marriage, with Wilford Kimball performing the double-rin- g ceremony. Parents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. Donnell Wardle of Verpal, and the bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Bott of Brigham City. A wedding dinner was hosted by parents of the bridegroom at a the in Salt Lake City for the wedding party. The couple was honored at a reception held at the Glines chapel in Vernal on the evening following their marriage, and a reception was held April 13 in Brigham City. Bridal Gown The bride greeted guests in a white floorlength skirt and gathered train trimmed with white cord lace around the bottom and bordering a front panel to the empire waistline. The bodice and long pointed sleeves were accented with cord lace embroidered with seed pearls and rhinestones. Her veil was held to a headpiece created by the bride of corded lace intertwined with hearts of seed pearls and rhinestones. Attendants were her twin sister, Charlene Horne, matron of honor; another sister, Melinda Wardle, Kathy Snow, Janet Spendlove, Sandy Roberts and Valerie Gardner as bridesmaids; and flower girls were Staci Wardle and Elyse Horne. The matron of honor and flower girls were attired in doubleknit lavendar floorlength jumpers with lavendar blouses. Bridesmaids were gowned in royal blue floorlength jumpers with light blue blouses. The Rockettes mothers and daughters tea was held on May 9. Sixteen new members were welcomed in the club and 12 seniors are leaving. One Sophomore member left to become a cheerleader next year. New officers for the floorlength gowns for the occasion. Best man duties were performed by David Bott, brother of the bridegroom. Ushers were Dennis Dean and Kenneth Horne. Centering the bridal table was a five tiered wedding cake made by the bride's aunt, Dolores Stephenson of Vernal. It was decorated with white lace icing and a cascade of lavendar roses and stephanotis'' topped with a lace heart and miniature bridal jcouple. White of Garland, will become the bride of Alan D. James, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Dale James of Logan. The couple will exchange nuptial vows in a ceremony performed in the Logan LDS temple. President Lloyd Hunsaker will officiate at the double-rinceremony in the presence of members of both families and a few close friends. A wedding breakfast for members of the bridal party will be hosted by the groom's parents at Maddox Ranch House a visit from their son, Vaughn of La Palma, Calif. He is with the U.S. Geolographical Survey and was on his way to a meeting in Denver. He stopped here for a few days enroute. Pfc. Kent Johnson is spending a furlough here with his wife Jolene, and his mother Mrs. Ruby Johnson. He is stationed at Ft. Hood, Tex. and will return there after his visit here with friends and family. Take Trip Home from a delightful state tour are James Miller, Ernest Johnston, Mrs. Mabel Yourt of this city and Mrs. Ellen Patterson of Pleasant Hill, 18-d- through Indiana to Denver and home. In each of the states in which they traveled they toured the capitol cities and other important sites. They saw a number of places where the tornado had hit and enjoyed life in seeing the "different New Orleans French Quarter and stopped at Florida Disney World, saw the Cypress Gar- dens, Everglades, Alligator Farm, and spent three days in Miami. They swam in the Atlantic and toured by boat and bus while in Miami. They spent one day down in the Florida Keyes, visited Kennedy Airport and especially enjoyed touring the of reconstructed city Williamsburg, Va. Byington of Brigham City. Miss Spencer is a graduate of Logan High school and four year LDS Seminary. She is presently a junior at Utah State university where she is studying elementary and early childhood education. She has been very active in the 16th University Branch where she served as MIA counselor and is currently serving in the Releif Society presidency. During the past year she has been a member of the Sounds of Zion where she participated as a dancer and singer and recently completed a tour of Mexico with them. Byington, is a graduate of Box Elder High school and four year LDS Seminary. He attended Weber State college for one year prior to his mission to California. He is presently a senior at Utah State university majoring in marketing. For the past two years he has served as engagement Calif. of Sounds of Zion While attending USU he served on the LDSSA Student Council, and other school organizations. The couple will be married in the Logan LDS temple on Friday, May 24. He was born on April 15 and weighed seven pounds eight ouces. The couple has two girls, Edna 13, and Elda seven. He was born on April 17 and weighed eight pounds 13 and a half ounces. This is the first child for the Skelly's and the first grandchild for Mr. and Mrs. William Skelly, Liverpool, England. Mrs. Lois Imholt, Seattle, Wash, is the maternal grandmother. Mr. and Mrs. Kent Jensen have named their new baby boy, Michael Burton. He was born on April 25 and weighed 10 pounds.
