Show I 16 t BOX ELDER JOURNAL, Brigham City, Utah Thursday, April 1 9, 1 Plymouth Ponderings 973 Town gains Now man named for SCS office Mariel Tingey area conservationist, Soil Conservation service (SCS), Logan, announced this week a change in his agencys leadership in the Tremonton field office. Odas Austin, who has headed SCS activities in Tremonton for the past six years, has been transferred to Merced, Calif, in a similar assignment. Replacing Austin is Floyd Bailey, who has been in charge of SCS's Richfield field office for the past four years. Bailey was raised on a farm southwest of Salt Lake City. He received a degree in agronomy from Utah State university in 1962, and at that time accepted a position with SCS in Mount Pleasant, Utah. He also worked for SCS in Roosevelt and Price before his most recent position in Richfield. Bailey served in the U.S. and served an Navy in 1957-5LDS mission in the New England States. He is married to the former Sharyn Duckworth of Magna, Utah, and they have four sons. Mrs. Jane Udy along with her sisters Mrs. Lenore Silvester of Riverside and Mrs. Eva Zundel of Ogden enjoyed a dinner party with Mrs. Genevieve Jensen in Brigham City Thursday.
