Show BOX ELDER JOURNAL, Brigham City, Utah 14 Thursday, April 19, 1973 Perry Pulse Scouts receive awards during local ceremony Obituaries Mary N Braegger by Mrs. Max Nelson Last Wednesday evening, Mrs. Mary Neeley Braegger, 64. of SO North Second West, Willard, died Sunday in McKay hospital, Ogden of natural causes. She was born Sept. 21, 1908, in Deweyville, a daughter of Ira Jonathan and Margaret I. Loveland Neeley. She was married to August Henry Braegger on June 25, 1925, in the Salt Lake LDS temple. She had lived in Willard since her marriage. An active member of the LDS church, she was Relief Society chorister, member of the Willard Ward Singing Mothers and ward choir. She was a former Primary president and YWMIA president and had served in the Willard Ward Relief Society presidency. She was registrar for the Box Elder County Daughters of Utah Pioneers. Surviving are her husband of Willard; three sons and two three young men of the Perry Second ward Boy Scout Troop 330 were presented their Eagle Scout awards in an impressive ceremony under the direction of Clyde Dover, Box Elder South stake scout leader. Honored for their outstanding : accomplishments award were Kent Lund, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lund, Kurt Rasmussen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Rasmussen, and David Sevy, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Sevy. Each of these boys have shown their abilities in troop and church activities. Each have served as troop leaders in Troop 330. Other Awards Mary Braegger Other awards presented that evening were the following merit badges by YM councilor, Russell Rasmussen: Swimming, citizenship in the world, and drafting to Rick Bylsma and Pafll Beil; pottery, a Wilford W. Burt Wilford Wrighton Burt, 73, 481 South First East, died Tuesday evening in the Pioneer Nursing home after an extended illness. He was born Oct. 28, 1899, in Brigham City, to David P. Louisa Wrighton Burt. He married Blanche Nielsen, Dec. 6, 1933, in the Salt Lake LDS temple. g Burt 'Was" a resident of Brigham City and served an LDS mission to Hawaii. At the time of his death he was an elder in the Brigham City Sixth ward. Burt had worked for the state ' life-lon- Mrs. Truchot returned to Fort Hall in 1968 and on Dec. 17 of that year married to LaVern A. Truchot at Elko, Nev. Mrs. Truchot was an LPN at Bannock Memorial hospital having received her training at Lawrence and Kansas City, Kan. She was a member of the Presbyterian church and enjoyed horses, cattle and the outdoors. include her Survivors husband, a son, LaVern A., Jr.; a daughter, Dora Lyn, all of Fort Hall; her mother of Brigham City, a sister, Mrs. road commission and the Defense Depot Ogden and was retired from Hill Field. Survivors include his widow and one daughter, Mrs. Joseph Dell (Feilila) Huggins, Bear River; five grandchildren; and one brother, J. Caleb Burt, Ogden. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at p.m. in 1 Friends may call at the Olsen Funeral chapel, Second North and Main, Thursday, 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 11:30 a.m. to time of seryices. Refreshments were served and a door prize was awarded to Mrs. Mary Higgs. On Friday evening, April 13 the Perry elementary school presented their spring festival. Each class presented numbers they have been polishing up for the occasion. The Kindergarten class under the direction of their teacher, Mrs. Ileen Tucker were a rhythm band and sang and played their instruments. Mrs. Johnsons first grade Alice Blue class presented, Gown" and waltz. Mrs. Gibbs second and third grade class presented, Martha Washington and presented ball room dancing. The fourth grade class presented Vaudeville number featuring song and dance of the south under the direction of their teacher, Mrs. Thorne. The fifth grade played their ukes and sang some of their favorite songs with Mr. Wight ' as their director.
