The better weather is helping the men move their cattle and get the spring work done. Gordon Tanner and sons, Bruce, Dee and Chris, were here from Brigham over the weekend. They were guests of his parents, Dell and Ella Tanner, and visited other relatives. Opal and Oren Kimber were in Bountiful on Friday and Saturday. They visited LeGrande and Deon Kimber and children and Karla and Reed Beecher and children. Opal has been helping Karla with her MIA assignment. Karla was in charge of the "Spring Sing" music festival to be held Tuesday. Helps Brand Randy Kimber of Malta spent Wednesday and Thursday here with his parents, Oren and Opal Kimber. He was busy helping his father with the branding and cattle moving. There were lots of young people and quite a crowd gathered down on the Lucin flats Saturday and Sunday. dune The buggy and motorcycle cross country races on the mud flats were quite entertaining. Many of the local people were there to watch the event. Dell and Ella Tanner were in Burley Thursday to take some Riverside Register Returning after an enjoyable vacation in Pahrump, Nev., are Mrs. Jack Forsberg and son Chad. They were houseguests of Mrs. Forsberg's parents Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Howard. Visiting Mr. and Mrs. Delose Udy during the week were Mr. and Mrs. Murray Moss of Murray. Both couples enjoyed a day visiting at the Golden Spike historic site at Promontory. Overnight guests at the Udy home Friday were Mr. and Mrs. Ron Roybal of Ogden. Dinner guests of Mrs. Mary B. Udy during the week were Mr. and Mrs. John Udy and family of Hunter, Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Udy, Mr. and Mrs. Dean Udy of Brigham City, Mrs. Doris Foster and children of Preston. Guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. G. L. Bourne Saturday were Johnny Farnsworth and two children of Ogden, Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Anyder of Midvale. Mrs. Bournes sister, Vie Krantz left Saturday for her home in Midvale after spending several days at the Bourne home. Visiting Mr. and Mrs. Voss Ward during the week was their daughter Mrs. Keith Bosworth of Preston and Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Gibbs of Portage. Max and Melissa Tanner were in Salt Lake where Melissa went for medical Ed and Pearl Harris have moved back to their trailer house near the store. Hattie and Val Tanner are planning to come back home this week after spending the winter in Salt Lake. LaNette and LeAnn Thompson and Laraine Tanner came out from Ogden for the weekend. They brought Marge and Bambi Thompson back home after a few days in town. Bambi was a guest of Carla Clark in Brigham and Marge' stayed with her girls in Ogden. Flo Gross, Judy and Keith Kimber were in Ogden this week for a couple of days. Judy had to have dental surgery. Ogden. Mr. and Mrs. Lavoy Udy had their foster Indian son Leo Marks, who is attending BYU in Provo, visit them during the weekend. They enjoyed a dinner party at Maddox. Mrs. Mina Udy of Riverside, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Chamberlain of Honeyville, as guests of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Ward of Kaysville enjoyed a dinner at the Bluebird in Logan Saturday evening. home. Duane Thomas took Vivian and Jodi to Clearfield Monday. Duane will return and Vivian and Jodi will stay with her parents for a while. Vivians father is to have medical surgery this week. Mr. and Mrs. Jay Garrett and family were here from Burley Sunday as dinner guests of Bishop and Mrs. Merlin Tanner and family. Sunday dinner guests of Winfred and Olive Kimber were Simon Baker of Oakley and Mrs. Hal Matthews of Burley. They were here as Sacrament meeting speakers. Delma and Verl Smith were out from Ogden Saturday to visit her parents, Olive and Winfred Kimber. Marian Sanders of Fremont, Calif., is here for a few days with Garrall Sanders and girls. Harley and Phyliss Sanders were also home from Salt Lake for the weekend. Birthday Party was Thompson presented a decorated birthday cake and the crowd sang to him at the young peoples dance Blair Clark N. Davis CPA exam. the passed CPA Former BC man passes CPA exam Clark N. Davis, a native and former resident of Brigham City, recently received notice that he has successfully passed all parts of the certified Public Accountant examination at his first setting. Davis, a graduate of Box Elder High school and Utah State university, received his MBA degree from Northwestern university last June. He is currently living in San Francisco, Calif., with his wife, Shelley and daughter, Monica. He is an accountant with Arthur Andersen and company there. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Davis, 119 South Fourth West, Brigham City., Saturday. A group of students from Montello also joined in the party. Blair is celebrating his 14th birthday anniversary. Rhea and Archie Toyn were in Burley on a business trip Saturday. Laraine Tanner fell down the stairs at her office and had to walk on crutches for a couple of days. Raida Kimber was taken to Brigham for medical aid. Bible Church A basic Bible study course for ladies is planned on Tuesday mornings at 10 a.m. at 631 South first East. The course taught by Rosemary Potter, will cover the following subjects: The Bible, God, man , sin, salvation, and Christian living. and It is all ladies are welcomed. An Easter sunrise service will be held at 6:30 a.m. at the church followed by a potluck breakfast. Regular services of Bible school and morning worhip will be held as usual at 9:45 and 11:000 a.m. respectively. A service of music and testimonies is planned for the six-we- evening service. Everyone is invited to all of these service. The Bible church will conduct on Bible school beginning on June 4 and running through Aug. 17. School will begin at 9 a.m. each morning Monday through Friday and continue through 3 p.m. will Qualified teachers present Our celebration of Easter will h begin with the Sunrise Service in John Adams Park (First North and Sixth East), at 6 a.m. The program will include music by a youth chorus under the direction of Wes Bowman, congregational singing of traditional and contemporary Easter hymns, and a brief sermon by the Rev. Charles Holland of Holy Cross Lutheran church. A group of high school students will present a dramatization of some of the events of the first Easter. A simple breakfast will be served at the close of the service. At 9:15 p.m. the regular morning worship service will be held in the Corinne Methodist church. Those wanting to go will meet at the church at 6:45 p.m. for transportation. Sunday, April 22, members will share in the Easter Sunrise Service at John Adams Park, Sixth East and First North. The service is a cooperative effort of several churches in the city. Starting time for the service is 6 a.m. Monday evening is the time for members to conduct the service at the Ogden Rescue mission. Those going to participate in the service should plan to leave the church at 6:15 p.m. Michaels The Maundy Thursday service with Holy Eucharist will be held at 7:30 p.m. on April 19. On April 20, the Good Friday service will be held at noon. An Easter vigil service with the lighting of the new fire and Holy Eucharist will be held at 8 p.m. on Easter Eve, Saturday, April 21. Easter Sunday, April 22, the will be Eucharist Holy celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Cooperative church school is each Tuesday afternoon at 3:45 p.m. at Gillespie hall. Children from three years of age through sixth grade are invited. Wednesday, April 25, the Holy Eucharist will be celebrated at :30 a.m. Presbyterian Everyone is invited to an Easter sunrise service Sunday morning at 6 a.m. Place is John Adams Park on the west side. Saturday Mr. and Mrs. Ira Ward entertained at a family party in compliment to their son, Michael Ward, a student at USU in Logan. Other guests were Miss Marilyn Ward of Ogden and Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Ward and family of North Assembly of treatment. She is back home now and feeling better. Doctor Appointments Wilda and Betty Kimber, Judy Rae Barnedt and boys were in Ogden Thursday keeping doctor appointments. They also visited Wildas sister, Darlene Johnston and family.
