Show r Honoyville Hotline apricot trees, it's snowflakes News Reported From Neighbors By Kitty Fletcher am quite pleased to report that this reporter will also be doing some of the local news for a few of our neighboring towns. I have enjoyed meeting with the different people and am looking forward to meeting many more, even if only over the telephone. There have been a good many Deweyville residents in the hospital this winter. Floyd Gardner of Deweyville has just recently brought home his wife, Bertha, after an stay at Cooley hospital at Brigham City. Bertha suffered a heart attack and is reportedly up on her feet now and getting around a little. Their daughter, Cheryl Roberts, is flying in from California to be with her mother while she is recovering. Mattie Hassel is also home again after a recent stay at the hospital. Needed surgery has put Phales Cannon, also of Deweyville, in the hospital at Salt Lake City. So, along with the recent return of Ray Gleason and Elaine Burbank both also of Deweyville, that town has really had its share of citizens in the hospitals. We certainly hope each and every one of them makes a complete and speedy recovery. I Announce Marriage Making a little jump the farther up road, Mr.. Mrs. and B.F. Johnson are pleased to announce the marriage of their daughter, Mary Jane Johnson, of Collinston to 1st. Lt. Glenn Lambert, son of Mr. and Mrs. Theron M. Lambert, Clairmont, Calif. She had been an assistant librarian in Salt Lake City. Ramada Lieutenant from graduated Lambert Brigham Young university with honors, receiving a B.S. degree. Coming up on Feb. 17 will be some great entertainment for North Bear River Stake area residents. They have hired Warner Stoddard and his Rainbow Wranglers to play as the evenings entertainment for their Sweetheart Ball. The dance is scheduled to begin at 8:30 p.m. and I think they have exceptionally good taste in their choice of entertainers. Long Journey Really making an awfully long journey to visit one of our Honeyville residents were two lovely ladies from Cecil Lake, B.C. Mrs. Robert (Fawneice) Zollinger and a friend from British Columbia were here for almost a week. They visited with Mrs. Zollingers family in Tremonton and made sure they stocked up on all sorts of arts and crafts supplies at Sandy's Putter Palace. Sandy has been shipping supplies to these people in Canada. Their supplies are for the Cecil Lake Relief society in British Columbia. Sandy sends supplies to all our states, including vHawaii, and as you can see, she is shipping out of the country. This has to show what a tremendous ability she has for her profession. Celebrate Brlthdays Jay Hawkes and his son, Jon Hawkes, will bd' celebrating their birthdays together this year. Jon had his day on Feb. 6 with Jays coming on Feb. 15. So this year the whole family will be getting together at the Hawkes family home and celebrating the two together. Jon will be 15 years old and thats all we will say of ages. On Feb. 22, Warner Stoddard and his family, Ronnie, Debbie, Chris, Dixie and Tommy, will be singing and playing in Fielding for the evenings entertainment. Everyone had a nice time with refreshments served afterwards. On Jan. 22, the Honeyville DUP held its monthly meeting at the home of Estelle Maero. The severe snowstorm we had is the reason for the late date of the meeting. The next schedule meeting is on Feb. 16 at the home of Sylvia Hunsaker. Attending a meeting at the home of Mrs. Brooks Shuman in Tremonton were Mary Gardner and Estelle Maero. This was a county board meeting for the DUP. After the meeting, there were light refreshments served. If you think you know all the right answers, you may be being asked the wrong questions. Since I have decided that we will never have anything different, from snow, rain, fog, smog, slush and clouds I have decided to start my garden inside. There was gasoline all over the back end of my car, clear onto the trunk, and all around the ground about my car. Well, I had an excited passenger with me. She immediately grabbed my two children who were in the car with us and out of there she scooted. I was afraid to even start my motor. But after they squirted down everything, including my car. I got my gas and left. The car didn't blow up but I was anxious there for a few minutes. The lady that took my girls to safety was Connie Ammons of Corinne. Connie is my sister. Talking with Betty Francum, she tells me that she and her husband were both accident prone on the same day. LaVar severely mashed his left ring finger and split the nail which is very painful. This same day, Betty slipped and fell on the ice and threw out her lower back. She is feeling better now, we are glad to report.
