Emil Anderson of Tremonton joined the group for an afternoon social. The Tremonton Literary guild held their New Year party at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Manning Saturday evening along with their partners. A lovely dinner was served, followed by games and a social. Mrs. Jessie Millis of Salt Lake City has been spending a week and visiting her daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Leland Harris in Tremonton. Mr. and Mrs. Evan Green, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Brockman of Tremonton; Mr. and Mrs. Reed Harris, Mr. and Mrs. Reed Anderson of Bothwell; Mr. and of Mrs. Wesley Gephart Garland, enjoyed a progressive dinner party New Years Eve. Visiting Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Simmons in Beaver Damduring the holidays were Mr. and Mrs. DeWayne Simmons of Boise, Mr. and Mrs. Darold Simmons and family of SaU Lake City, Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Simmons and family of Tremonton. LeeAnn Iverson and Paul Snider of Salt Lake City visited during the holidays with Lee Anns parents Mr. and Mrs. Claude Iverson in Tremonton. Other visitors were Mr. and Mrs. Tom Sykes and four children of Provo. Leaving Saturday to spend the New Year holidays in Oahu, Hawaii were Mr. and Mrs. Keith Moss of Fielding. Thursday Mrs. Clifford John entertained at a family dinner party in compliment to her husband who was observing his the Catherine Wright and son of Kaysville; Mr. and Mrs. J.P. Visiting Mr. and Mrs. George Forsberg and Mr. and Mrs. Reese Marble and family in Riverside during the week were Mrs. Wendell Sparks and family of Pocatello. Mrs. Mildred Smith of Fielding is visiting her and daughter Mr. and Mrs. Earl Church and family in university in Haywood, Calif, spent the holidays with his parents Mr. and Mrs. Ray Anderson in Bothwell. Visiting Mr. and Mrs. George Crozier Jr. in Bothwell Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Snowball of Salt Lake City. Dinner Party Mr. and Mrs. DeVere Adams of Fielding, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Price, Karen Price of Cherry Creek, and Bill Jones of Malad enjoyed a dinner party at the China Nite in Ogden during the week. Mrs. Hazel Rose of Garland enjoyed a breakfast party with Mr. and Mrs. Larry Rose and family in Brigham City during the week. Other guests were Mr. and Mrs. Dale Baron and Jaunita Siegfried of Brigham City. Visting Beatrice Wright in Garland during the holidays were Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Vincent and family; Ed R. Pingle and family; Mr. and Mrs. J.C. McGregor and family of Salt Lake City; Mr. and Mrs. Albert Cole and family; family party was held at the a in Ogden in compliment to Mrs. Leona Standing of Ogden (former Fielding resident) who was celebrating her 82nd birthday anniversary. A delicious dinner was enjoyed and Mrs. Standing presented with many nice gifts. Later the group met at Mrs. Standing's home for a social. Mr. and Mrs. Lamar Gardner of children and three Dewey ville spent the holidays in Tucson visiting Mr. Gardners brother-in-laand sister SM. Sgt. and Mrs. Walter J. Whiteford. Visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Nephi Westcrgard in Garland during the ' holidays were Brent Westergard, Susan A Chuck-O-Ram- Salt Lake City; Jorgenson Kent Peterburg of Boise. Mr. and Mrs. James E. Hess, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Wood, Mr. and Mrs. Dan Kent and Mr. and Mrs. DeVere Adams of Fielding enjoyed a dinner party at Maddox Ranch House Saturday evening afterwhich they met at the Adams home of a social and fun games. Fun The Tremonton-Garlanclub met at the home of Beth Henrie for a holiday party. A lovely dinner was enjoyed and d gifts exchanged. Saturday evening they enjoyed a party along with their partners at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Verl Nelson. The evenings entertainment was under the direction of Hazel Rose, Meda Hupp, Nevra Brown and Wanda Nelson. A hot dinner was served, games played and gifts exchanged. Dennis and Lenore Hall Hancock of Salt Lake City announce the arrival of a baby boy born Dec. 20. They have one son and one daughter at home. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Mark Hall of Tremonton, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Hancock of Ogden. The new baby will be named Bryan Howard Hancock. Mrs. Hall has been spending a few days at the Hancock home getting acquainted with her new grandson. A Boy Scouts of the Lake Bonneville council were urged to start signing up for the 1973 annual Merit Badge Pow Wow planned March 10, 17, and 24 at Bonneville High school. The event will be hosted by the Brigham Young university Ogden center. M.L. Bennett, program director, said registrations are being accepted at the center for instruction in over 20 merit badge areas. professionals in their respective fields. In most instances, the instructors serve as certified merit badge counselors with the badge to choose from, he said. Deadline Set fingerprinting, first aid, nature, Deadline for registration is March 1. Scouts may sign up before Feb. 15 at a $3 fee. Any applying after Feb. 15, will be required to pay $5. The Pow Wow will be conducted three hours each day on March 10, 17, and 24. Each scout will receive instruction on three merit badges of his choosing during this period, Bennett said.
