For her wedding and reception, the bride chose a gown of Chantilly lace appllqued onto light chiffon over heavy bridal satin. The gown was fitted at the hips with a circular skirt and circular cuffs on the sleeves. Her veil was formed of three tiers of bridal illusion caught to a dainty Juliet cap. Johnson are holding an open house in honor of their parents fiftieth wedding anniversary at their home, 137 North Third East, Brigham City, Sunday afternoon, Sept. 24, from 3 to 6 p.m. Friends and relatives are invited to attend. They were married in the Salt Lake LDS temple, Sept. 27, 1922. With the exception of three months spent in Garland, immediately following their marriage, they have lived in Brigham City all of their lives. Mr. Johnson was born in Ronne, Bornholm, Denmark, Dec. 31, 1895; coming to America with his family the following year. They settled In Mantua. His parents were Oluf and Hansine Hansen Johnson. He enlisted in the Army in Battery C. 145th Field Artillery, in 1917, later transferring to Battery C. of the 132nd Division and served on three of the major fronts in France during of Woodlawn High school, Birmingham, Ala. Mr. Johnson has been a home teacher in the Brigham City Fourth ward for many years. They were members of the ward genealogical committee and the old folks committee. Mrs. Johnson is the daughter of Samuel A. and Laura Petersen Sackett and is a native of Brigham City. She has held various offices in the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 10, including president. She has been president of the Fourth Ward Relief society and a visiting teacher. She has taught in Sunday school, primary and YWMIA. She is a member of Civic Improvement club and Daughters of Utah Pioneers. Their children are H. Dee Johnson and Darel O. Johnson of Brigham City; C. Blaine Johnson of Eden, Weber county, and Mrs. Roiiert (Eloise) of Scottsdale, WW I. The meeting opened the 1972-7season. Plans were formulated for the necessary activities of the new year. Mrs. Frank Loomis, immediate past president of the auxiliary, reported that the Box Elder County auxiliary a certificate for second in place the state of Utah for the for the railing of funds research and education program of the American Medical association. This was won through a of members since the Box Elder county auxiliary is one of the smallest. Money was sale of raised through stationery, Christmas cards, and other items including toys and costume watches. The sales are executed through an appointed local auxiliary chairman. The auxiliary will again sponsor the Future Nurses club at Bear River High school. The club had its inception on 1966 organized by the Box Elder county auxiliary, and has been responsible for 11 graduate RN's and 17 enrolled students in either nursing or allied health fields.
