Show I Skyway Slates Benefit Tourney The Skyway Golf course in Tremonton has scheduled a Best Man Golf tournament, to assist with funds Aug. for the Arthritis Foundation. Gale Parcell, golf pro at Skyway says We are hoping for 10 teams to fill the tournament. Players are expected from all parts of Utah, Idaho and Wyoming to participate in the team play. David Seamons, Rookie Preston; Lori Gale, Foothill tied Leslie Souter, Brigham City. Junior Larry Velasquez, Rees; Susan Ralllson, Preston. Dennis Peart, Prep Brigham City; no prep girl. Ribbons, Trophies Ribbons were awarded to first to fifth places and trophies given to outstanding athletes. Country Club Sets Mixed Golf Tourney A mixed golf tournament is scheduled Sunday afternoon, Aug. 13, by the Brigham City Golf and Country club. The event will begin at 3 p.m. at the city golf course. The tournament is planned as a "scramble (Scotch foursome) and will require no handicap. All club members are invited to participate. Following the tournament, a buffet luncheon will be served at the country club. The cost to enter, including the luncheon, is $5 per couple. Rules for the tourney will be handed out at tee time. Competing will be four-mateams (two men and two women) consisting of husbands and wives (or partners). A drawing will determine groups.
