Show For Scholarship Testing BOX ELDER JOURNAL, Brigham City, Utah Thursday, November 12, 1970 Program Registration on Tap Box Elder High school students who expect to complete their secondary school requirements and to enter college In 1972 should register now to participate In the 1971-7- 2 also the first step for students who wish to participate In other scholarship programs administered by the National Merit Scholarship corporation (NMSC). These programs Include the National; Merit Scholarship program, Principal Carroll C. National Nichols announced today. The first step for all students who wish to enter the nationwide Merit Scholarship competition Is to take the National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (NMSQT). The test will be given only once during this school year. Our school is scheduled to give the NMSQT at 9 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 13, he said. Taking the NMSQT Is Achievement Scholarship Program for Outstanding Negro Students and Special Scholarship programs administered by for business NMSC and In- dustrial firms. NMSQT participants at Box Elder will pay a total of $2 to take the test. One dollar Is to be paid at the time he signs up and the other on the test date. When his NMSQT scores are reported, each participating student will receive a handbook to help him understand his about making college choices and financing a college education, is furnished as a part of reporting the students test results.
