Show t 1 i t I BOX Holiday bazaar set for next Saturday ELDER NEWS, Brigham City, Utah 1 977 Sunday, October 30, Parenting is topic for Community club Gifts; holiday decor, and a selection of fine homemade foods will be available to buyers at the y bazaar slated next Saturday, Nov. 5, from 10 a.m. to 5 p m. at Gillespie Hall. Everyone's invited. Sponsored by the Presbyterian Womens association, the bazaar will include luncheon and snacks served during the day in addition to the many items on sale. Just a sampling of the booths notes that aprons and pre-holida- Ladies Community club will feature the art of parenting as its meeting topic on Thursday, Nov. 3, as they meet at the Community Center. Jean Showell, coordinator of the parent resource center of the Box Elder school district, will be guesf speaker for the afternoon. She will discuss the resources and facilities available at the center, as well as specific ideas on family linens, children's clothing and toys, arts and crafts, pots and plants, handmade jewelry, jams and jelly, homebaked pies and pickles, Christmas wreaths and tree decorations. There'll also be shopping opportunities just for the children, according to chairman Dorothy Corwin. and Brent Meyers, Brigham relations and being a better parent. Also included will be a display of home arts since the meeting is under the Department of Home Arts of the club. Caroline Criddle is meeting chairman, with Velma as director member. Social time is 3.45 p m. with Doris Baugh as serving chairman assisted by June Searle, Beth Anderson, Caroline Anderton, Bernice Orchard, Gayle Peters, Lillian Westover, Clarice Whitesides. The prospective bridegroom graduated from Box Elder High school and LDS Seminary. He served two years on a mission in Northern England. GlRt SCOUT Leaders meet neighborhood meeting will be held on Monday, Nov. 7, at 1 p.m. at the home of Virginia Horton, 348 North Fourth West, rather than at the regular location. Every troop should be represented by a leader. There will be a guided tour of the Girl Scout neighborhood equipment shed included as part of the meeting. Plans for the upcoming Council Meeting will also be discussed, according to Willie Nelson, neighborhood chairman. Box Elder Annual meeting All adult Girl Scouts, seniors and Cadettes are invited to attend the 1977 annual Council Meeting with the theme Help Our Polluted Environment on Saturday, Nov. 12, at Judge Memorial High school in Salt Lake City. The entire day will be keyed to issues to protect the environ- ment, beautify surroundings, and use resources wisely. Of course, the usual awards will be presented to leaders and adult workers.
