The presentation is part of the public crime prevention program now being conducted by the Brigham City Police Department, and is recommended for all parents and girls. Buzzing Around Mrs. John Ensign is home again after spending a pleasant two weeks in Palm Springs. She traveled there with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W.F. Degn of Ogden. She also visited a brother in San Diego and her mother-in-lain Los Angeles. Her parents remained in Palm Springs at their winter home. Mr. and Mrs. R.N. Price were so happy to have their grandson Clark Price of Annadale, Va., and a friend Ann Morgan of Columbus, S.C., spend the weekend with them. They are both students at the BYU in Provo. Go Canada Mrs. Amelia Plastino of this city, her sister Mrs. May Glad, nephews David and Andrew and niece Berta all of Sandy, traveled to McGrath, Canada to attend funeral services for their brother, George Thomson Jr. They returned Wednesday and report they encountered no snow, the roads were good and they made the trip from Mc- - Garth to Brigham City in 12 hours. I was interested to learn that the deceased was the last known survivor of a group that had been sent by church authorities in 1899 to help settle the McGrath area. Thomas was only 12 years old at that time but had gone there with his parents. At that early age he had worked with horses and scraps on the irrigation project they had been sent there to build. He also helped in building the railroad grade. A native of Granite, he married Melissa Alice Winterton of Wasatch county and she and his five children survive him. Stork Reports Mr. and Mrs. Henry Beutler have named their new baby girl Hollie. She was born on Jan. 27 and weighed six pounds nine and a quarter ounces. They have another girl Kara age two. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Walter Buetler, Dayton, Idaho, Mr. and Mrs. LaVon Jones, Denver, Colo., Mrs. Anne H. Kemp, Logan. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Hardy are delighted with the arrival of their new baby boy and have chosen Klinton Karl for his name. He was born on Feb. 3 and weighed seven pounds two and a half ounces. This is the couple's first child. Mrs. Hardy will be remembered here as the former Karla Josephson. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Karl Josephson and Mr. and Mrs. Ray Hardy all of this city. At 9:30 a.m. they will gather for a general session in the State Office Building auditorium, where key legislators will talk on pending legislation. 12 noon will be the time that LWV members will host a luncheon for legislators, with Box Elder county women meeting with their local representatives and senator. During the afternoon, they will observe sessions in both houses of the Legislature. Also included on the evenings program will be announcement of the slate nominated for office by the nominating committee, with nominations for any office also received from members in attendance. DOUG TAYLOR A recent acquisition at the hospital is a hospitality cart stocked with stationary and pens, newspapers and paperback books, soft drinks and hot drinks, and lots of little Extras. This cart visits each patient three times a day to help provide needed items for patients, as well as friendly visit from the volunteers on duty.
