Larsen Clyde Porter Larsen, 59, of 26 West Fourth South, Brigham City, died Saturday morning, Sept. 27, 1975, at Cooley Memorial hospital of a heart attack. He was born June 7, 1916, in Newton, Utah, a son of William Lewis and Ada Porter Larsen. He graduated from North Cache High school and attended Utah State university. enrollment, according to Les Dunn, adult education director of the Box Elder School district. The driver education class will begin Thursday, Oct. 2, in room 161 of the Box Elder High school, from 6 to 9 p.m., with Ron Ritchie as instructor. Art, basic painting, and Art 527, painting studio will be held each Thursday from 7 to 10 p.m. in room 106 of the high school. Dunn said the Utah State university art classes will be taught by Marion Hyde. Anyone interested in the above courses may register at the class session. He had owned and operated a sheet metal company in Brigham City and taught at Intermountain school and also for the Bureau of Indian Affairs in Montana. He retired in 1974 and returned to Brigham City. He was a veteran of World War II and a past member of the Rotary club in Montana and was a member of the Brigham City Lions club and Sons of Utah Pioneers at the time of his death. Active in the LDS church, he was in the presidency of the seventies quorum in Brigham City, Utah Box Elder stake, was a stake MIA worker, past Sunday school president and a home teacher in the Brigham City Second ward. He was director of the VFW Drum and Bugle corps in Brigham City for a number of years. Survivors include his wife of Brigham City, one son and two daughters, William R. Larsen, Bessemer, Ala.; Mrs. Judy Christensen and Susan Larsen, both of Salt Lake City; four grandchildren; his mother of Logan, one brother and one sister, Marion C. Lance C. He was born Feb. 12, 1910, at Bloomington, Idaho, to Samuel Francis and Mary Ann Thor-noc- k Payne. He was reared in Bear Lake county, and graduated from Utah State university in 1937. He married Elva Rounday, Sept. 24, 1937 in the Salt Lake temple. He taught industrial arts at the Box Elder Junior High school for 38 years retiring in 1975. He had also owned and operated a fruit farm. He was active in civic affairs and was a member of the Brigham City Lions club, and served for several years as an officer in the Box Elder Soil Conservancy district. He was active in the LDS church where he served as bishop of the First Ward for eight years; on the Box Elder Stake High Council and was an officer in the First Ward High Priest Group. Survivors include his widow of Brigham City; one son and four daughters; Bruce Raymond Payne, Kathleen Payne, Carol Jean Payne, all of Brigham City; Mrs. John C. (Jeri-lyn- ) Willie, St. George; and Mrs. Clark R.
