Traveling with the Lunds were Mr. and Mrs. Jack of Shumway (Mildred) Tremonton, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth (Vera) Larson of Burbank; Mr. and Mrs. Ralph (Maureen) Umbreit of Spokane and Mrs. Dorothy Martin, Salt Lake City. They flew to Athens, Greece, then boarded the Greek ship, Odyssey, for the cruise at the port of Peraeus. Among the interesting ports of call they visited were the ancient city of Ephesus, recognized as the home of the Mother Mary; the beautiful islands of Mykonos, Rhodes, the home of the God Appollo, the Temple of Athena on Lindor, the beautiful bay of St. Paul and the picturesque old and new town of Herkalion. They visited the unique town of Santorini, a little village perched on the top of cliffs. In Alexandria, Egypt they visited the palace of King Farouk, saw the Catacombs. They went into Cairo and followed the Nile where they observed the people living exactly as they over 2,000 years ago. They visited the Sahara desert, saw King Tuts tomb and other pyramids and even rode on a camel. Traveling into the Holy Land they visited Nazareth, Galilee, Tiberius, Bethlehem, and old and new Jerusalem. It was quite an experience walking along those ancient cobblestone streets where Jesus had walked so many years ago. Mrs. Lund observed when I talked with her Thursday. Coming back to Athens they flew to London and visited on the phone with Jane Gorman, the foreign exchange student who made her home with them several years ago. Good morning!
