P.O. Box Elder 67, Tremonton; issued Aug. 22. Craig Lawson Taylor, Hearing airs home plan 21, Autumn and Mrs. Gorman C. Winget, of Salt Lake City, announce the engagement of their daughter, Linda Lee, to Joel Oleen Palmer, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Oleen Palmer of this city. The couple will be married Sept. 1, in the Salt Lake LDS temple. Following the marriage, a dinner will be hosted by the bridegroom's parents at Grandmother's House in Arrow Press square. A reception will be held that evening at the Carillon in Bountiful. There will also be an open house Sept. 19, at the Palmer's in Brigham City. Miss Winget is a graduate of Brigham Young university and is employed in Salt Lake City. Palmer is a graduate of BYU with a masters degree in geology. He has served an LDS mission to Mexico. The latter two projections were more favorable to the proposal, one projecting an excess of eight beds and the other an excess of 15 beds. Taken into consideration in the prod jections was the county nursing home now being built in Tremonton which will offer comprehensive care. There currently are 92 nursing home beds in Box Elder county, including the 18 now in use at Godfreys existing home. (The others are located at the countys Pioneer Memorial home in Brigham City.) It was brought out that the Godfrey r home is presently operating on a waiver as (with the state fire code). Merrill said a check during the week showed only three nursing home beds were available in the entire three-countarea. And two of these were reserved. The road crosses Brigham hillside property on the west side of Mantua valley. A previous agreement stated that when the reservoir was completed, the hillside should be restored to its natural state. However, Hailing said access to the reservoir will be needed for future maintenance. Also, to bulldoze out the road would create a greater scar. FOCUS ON THE FAMILY Deadline is approaching in August yard contest Theres still time in which to enter the August Yard of the Month contest in Brigham City, a spokesman for the sponsoring Kiwanis club said this week. The entry deadline is Thursday, Aug. 28, with judges slated to make their rounds the following morning. A form can be found in todays News.
