Show 12 BOX ELDER NEWS, Brigham Sunday, April 14, 197 Riverside Register City, Utah Family dinner party highlights local news by Flo Munson Guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Karl Welling Saturday were Mr. and Mrs. Don Welling and nine children, Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Welling and son Chad of Evanston, Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Rex of Provo, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Welling of Plymouth, Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Weiiing, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Brough and family of Tremonton. Most of the guests remained overnight. Sunday they all attended a dinner party at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bob and in Brough family Tremonton in compliment to Bishop Don Welling who was observing his birthday anniversary. An enjoyable social was held. Visiting Mr. and Mrs. George Forsberg during the week was Mrs. Forsbergs daughter Mrs. Mary Lou Stephens of Corona, Calif. Ethel Mortenson and Jimmy Redcap are pictured here with their winning Easter bonnets. The contest was part of Easter activities at the Godfrey Nursing BEST BONNETS home. Mr. and Mrs. John Laws joined members of their family at the Lions Den" in Ogden for a dinner party during the week. Mr. and Mrs. Doyle Udy of Boulder, Colo.; Mr. and Mrs. Lex Udy of Salt Lake City, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Udy of Fielding; Mr. and Mrs. Jay Udy, Salt Lak City; and Mrs. Ina Udy of Ogden made up the party. Mr. and Mrs. Deloris have just returned from a 10 day business and vacation trip to Houston, Tex. They were accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Haws, Mr. and Mrs. Morgan Hawks, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Porritt, Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Compton, and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Gordon. The group, all members of the Christensen, Elder Board of Education, visited various schools in Texas, The Johnson Space Box center and the Astro Dome along with attending meetings at the School Board convention. Mr. and Mrs. Larry Forsgren and children of Nevada are spending a few days in Bothwell as the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Peterson. Mrs. Mae Bosley has recently returned to Bothwell after spending the winter months in California. Mae drove to Ogden during the week to visit her sister, Mrs. Betty Drysdale. Mrs. Wallace Anderson underwent surgery at the McKay hospital in Ogden during the week. She is reported in serious condition. Mr. and Mrs. LaRall Thompson of Thatcher and their three children visited in Clarkston, Sunday with Mrs. Sarah Godfrey and her guests from California. They also visited with Mr. and Mrs. Don Thompson and family also of Clarkston. Luncheon Guests Mr. and Mrs. Cy Wright of Ogden were luncheon guests Friday with Mr. and Mrs. Roy Anderson of Thatcher. Saturday guests at the Anderson home were Ron L. Anderson and Miss Kathleen Brown of Hansel Valley. Mr. and Mrs. Verle Waldron of Thatcher were visited during the week by Mr. and Mrs. Mark Willdon of Mancos, Colo. They are the parents of Mrs. the Waldron. Saturday Waldrons and Willdons visited Mr. and Mrs. Craig Morris and family, Ogden; Mr. and Mrs. Kent Opp and family, Roy; and Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Waldron and family of Salt Lake City. The first series of mini classes held at the Thatcher Penrose ward Relief society Tuesday proved to be a great success. Jo Lasley is teaching "Egg Carton Art", Sewing for Babies Carolyn Roche, teacher; Gardening" Mildred Francon, instructor. Sherry Stokes and a girl friend from Provo were also in attendance. Bothwell Ward APM1A are now in rehearsal with their one act plays. Norma Jean Firth and Phyllis are Peterson directing the plays to be put on in late April or early May. First aid course to start April 22 The American Red Cross will begin a course on advanced first aid and emergency care April 22. Those interested should contact the American Red Cross, telephone prior to April 22. The course will be given at Box Elder High school in Room 110, starting at 7 p.m. Participants should be 18 years of age at time of course.
