Car lands in creek; driver hurt A Brigham City police patrolman found a man trapped in his car early Thursday morning in Box Elder creek near the junction of Sixth North and Watery lane. Officer Jess Palmer discovered the wreckage at 1 16 a.m. and radioed to the local police dispatcher for an ambulance. Leon Ray Delgarito, 22, 675 North Main, was taken to Cooley Memorial hospital where he was treated as an out patient for injuries received in the crash. According to police reports, the 1965 sedan, driven by Delgarito, was southbound. The vehicle slowed down and then accelerated at the curve in Watery lane at Sixth North. The car failed to negotiate the curve and went straight across Box Elder creek, hit the bank, and fell back into the creek, Officer palmer explained in his report.
