Show Mantua Meanderings BOX ELDER Town welcomes Nathan H. Clayton Cheney L. Cheney Youths get Eagles in Seventh ward Chlarson president is of his currently deacons quorum. He has served as troop quartermaster and is currently senior patrol leader. He is a seventh grader at Box Elder Junior High school. Nathan Cheney is a member of the band at BEJHS. He served as a counselor in the deacons quorum, patrol leader and scribe in his troop. He attended Camp Bartlett two years and completed his mile swim. He has also been nominated for the Order of Arrow. Clayton Cheney is aKo a member of the BEJHS hand. He serves as president on the deacons quorum, and was patrol leader in his scout troop. Harris, Tremonton, won first place in the Utah State university Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (IEEE) student paper contest. He became eligible to compete in regional competition and received a cash prize. Harris went on to present his winning paper at the semi6 annual Northeast meeting in Pocatello, March 30, and won the $50 first place award. He was competing against students from Brigham Young university, Montana State, the University of Utah and USU. A His paper is entitled, Blood Pressure Measuring Device, in which he describes an indirect, noninvasion method and device for both systolic and blood diastolic pressure measurements. They were Glade K. Tew, 15, son of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Tew ; Nathan H. Cheney, 13, and Clayton L. Cheney, 13, sons of Dr. and Mrs. Richard C. Cheney; and Kerry Lee Chlarson, 12, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Chlarson, all of Brigham City. Chlarson is the first scout ever to earn his Eagle award at the age of 12 in the Birdhaven district and quite possibly the Lake Bonneville council. It is highly unusual for a youth to gain his Eagle by that age, a scout official said.
