Glenn Malec of New Jersey, who is stationed with the Air Force at Fort Knox, Ky, has been spending the week at the Gordon Lasley home in Thatcher. Glenn, who is a recfent convert to the LDS church is a friend of Gordon Lasley Jr. a missionary in Kentucky. He reports that Gordon is doing well and sends his greetings to his friends at home. Missionary Reunion Mr. and Mrs. Randy Marble drove to Salt Lake City to attend a Spanish missionary reunion. Brothers and sisters of Farrell Summers who came during the week to wish their brother a happy birthday included, Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Smith, Mr. and Mrs. Orin Summers, Mr. and Mrs. Odell Cooper, all of Salt Lake City and Mr. Marion Summers of Tremonton. Sunday Mrs. Farrell Summers entertained at a birthday dinner in honor of her husband. Those present included Mr. and Mrs. Kirk Summers and family, Mr. and Mrs. Blair Summers and family, Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Summers and Callie Ann, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Wood and family of Fielding, Mike and Susan Summers. Clayton Stokes and J.R. Christensen have enrolled at Weber State university in Ogden. The boys are living together. Mrs. Lola Ruth Anderson has been spending some time in Preston with her daughter, Kathy and family. Kathys baby has been in the hospital with Economists. Mr. and Mrs. Odell Thompson of Nampa, Calif are visiting at the William Anderson home in Thatcher, Mr. Thompson is Mrs. Andersons brother. Sunday visitors at the Roscoe Anderson home in Bothwell were Mr. and Mrs. Carl Grover of St. George, Utah. The Grovers had been in Idaho and visited the Andersons enroute home. Other visitors at the Roscoe Anderson home included Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Thomas. Mrs. Thomas was a school teacher at the Thatcher shool before it was closed. They live in Samarea. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Stokes of Penrose visited in Hyde Park with their daughter, Mr. and Mrs. LaVell Jensen and with another daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Arlo Jensen Lewiston, Utah on her celebrate, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Kilfoyle and family, Mr. and Mrs. Roger Tucker and family, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Caulford and family and Mr. and Mrs. David Kilfoyle. Family mebers of Mrs. Fred Christensen also visited' their mother for her birthday Em Hansen, recently. Mrs. Christensens mother was also present for the occasion. Mrs. Jessie M. Eller, Utah State University Extension Agent in Box Elder County, will receive a distinguished service award for her work as an extension home economist in Uintah, Cache and Box Elder Counties. The presentation will be made Oct. 19 in Grossingers, New the National York, by of Association Home Economists. Mrs. Eller has been active for the past 10 years in a family life program in Box Elder County, involving both parents and REGISTER TO VOTE children. In addition, she has worked to establish an active nutrition education committee for her community. Gordon Thompson and boys drove to Brigham City on Monday where they visited Mr. and Mrs. Lee Thompson. Mrs. Jack Leak of Penrose was in Ogden on Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Eggley of Penrose have just returned from Denver, Colo. They traveled there to attend funeral services for a nephew, Ricky Hendrick. Mrs. Marlene Dalton of Syracuse visited on Wednesday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Eggley of Penrose. Mrs. Bessie Hone is now at home after spending several days in Ogden at the McKay hospital where she was receiving medical attention.
