Show WSC course project yields BE directory local Three residents studying for degrees at Weber State college in the department of sociology, anthropology and social work have recently published a social service directory for Box Elder county as a public service class project Compiling the work were Alberta Blue, Edison Curtis and Lois Nason, under the direction of Pauline Loveless, master of social work Work was begun on the in fall quarter as a project in a community directory group organization class taught by Miss Loveless The three local residents chose this project as it was felt to be a vital, recognized need of the county Although most counties have had such directories available for years, this is the first to be compiled specifically for Box Elder county Interviewing of agencies was done by the three students from October through December Following completion of the course, Mrs Blue assumed responsibility for completion, compilation, printing and distribution of the booklet as a special directed project. , DIRECTORY Alberta Blue and Edison Curtis visit Lois Nason in the Supplementary Food Program storeroom as the three go over the first edition of the Box Elder County Social Services directory which they compiled as a class project as students at Weber State college. Spring concerts set at Box Elder High and 15 minutes. The public is invited. There will be no charge for admission. Slated to perform on Tuesday are orchestras from Box Elder High and Box Elder Junior High plus the school orchestra from Sky View High in Smithfield. The Thursday program will feature the Box Elder High fresh- man and concert bands. The musical variety will range from Mozart to numbers from The Westside Story. , Children take communion Over 40 children Done at Intermountain With the approval of Supt Jerry Jaeger, printing was done at the Intermountain School Print shop under the direction of Miss Jean Shonka as a community contribution to Box Elder county from Intermountain school The directory contains- a listing of all social service agencies serving Box Elder county with local staffs or contacts. Information on office hours, purposes of the agency, primary Spring instrumental concerts are scheduled at Box Elder High school on Tuesday, April 10, and Thursday, April 12, it was announced by director Earl Swenson. She is the wife of Herbert L. Blue, and is the mother of five children, Edison Curtis will Weber from college in June in sociology-sociwork, and plans to enter the University of Utah School of Social Work next fall. He is a native of Kinlichee, Ariz,, and graduated from Intermountain school and has made his residence in Brigham City since that time, he is the son of Mr. and Mrs Sam Curtis, Kinlichee. Lois Nason is a junior in the social work emphasis program at Weber State college. She is also employed part time by Box Elder county as coordinator of the supplemental food program. She is the wife of Fred Nason, and mother of six children, three of whom still reside at graduate f home.
