Ive done my share the past few days trying to figure out meatless meals and go along with the boycott. I hope it works but reading about what the experts say I wonder whether or not it will? I can say this much though, with all the publicity anybody who dares to buy a pound of hamburger must feel like a criminal sneaking it past the watchful eyes of the other shoppers. It was interesting to me this morning when I read that the cost of living had risen 12 and a half percent during 1972, while ours had only gone up three and a half in 1972. For a minute I felt good about the whole business of rising cost Take Holiday Fred Burt has enjoyed of living. Then I came toJ the last -- paragrapfwandsaw-a, pound, .fit meat in Egypt was now 79 cents instead of 63 cents as it was a year ago. Tomatoes cost 41 cents, a pound 10 times more than a year ago there. I wonder what the family paycheck is? Ill bet Mrs. Egypt is doing a little grumbling too. I believe maybe we have become like the people Richard Graves was writing about when he said, Everyone may see daily instances of people who complain from the mere habit of complaining.." Theres no complaints coming over the Party Line wires these days so pull up that easy chair and lets tind out some happy ! neWS Stork Reports Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Wharton have a new baby boy, born on March 23.
