According to McDougal it only takes about $800 to get a good start in racing competition. That would enable you to pick up a good used hydro boat and a good motor to run on it. Then after a lot of "souping it up" you could qualify for at least one of twelve classes of hydro boat racing. Its pretty safe according to McDougal, that is if youre careful., McDougal says he has been thrown twice but wasn't hurt either time. He says that a lot of racers go to fast under the varying racing conditions and that this is when the accidents happen. McDougal is a quiet likeable guy who In just two short years has put his name on the top in hydro boat racing. He commented that he has hopes of going on to race in a National race this year and that he feels that he has the equipment that can make him a winner. We want to wish Bryon the best in his racing efforts this season. Sunday he'll be at Willard - real close, so many locals will be able to see him in action. 723-590- 6. $45 Minuteman Funding Pact 2-- BRADSHAW 723-589- FOR SALE Well, this corner didnt quite come through with a winning prediction regarding the Peaches and their Salt lake tournament. They went three games but came away on the downhill side of two of their games for their elimination. The tournaments not over by any means. The final six teams will be squaring shoulders this weekend to decide who will represent Utah in the National playoffs in Wichita. Smithfield of the Cache county league seems still a top contender. However, it might be interesting to point out that the inevitable Smithfield finally bit the dust. happened fell to little Warren of Weber county They 1 the other night for their first defeat in this campaign. This helps the Peaches cause, because there is now a tie between the two tearqs for first place position in the league. Another slipup by the Smithfield crew and the Peaches just might end up on top.
