The big poplar In LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL - Mrs. Harry Bloom of Brigham City and Mrs. Quentin Allen of Tremonton are busily processing the names of delegates for the next biennium of the Women's legislative Council of Box Elder county. Delegates front 43 organizations within the county are registered for the Council, and an even broader membership Is being sought for the coming biennium during the annual membership drive. Womens Legislative Council Conducts Membership Drive the neighbors backyard stands a cool green sentlnal over the fruit trees and gardens that are beginning to show their wares. I can see some pretty good size tomatoes which should be ripe for picking about July 24, Even our walnut tree Is showing signs of a fair crop. Last year the nuts were nipped in the blossom by the frost and we feared for a time It had met a similar fate this year. The apricot tree Is beautiful but barren and the poor cherry tree Is already beginning to shed Its leaves. There are hopes for a few peaches and I believe that Is apples on the neigh, bors tree Just over the fence. The social scene still seems to be moving on wheels as the tourist season reaches Its peak and our Brigham City friends are measuring up pretty well.
