Mrs Henry L. Thorne, director of art activities for Northern Utah, will be in charge for the afternoon with the tea to be sponsored by Civic Improvement club. A large crowd of ward members joined in the festivities, which consisted of an entertaining program with J. Dell Sackett as master of ceremonies. Gifts were presented to former Bishop Lee R. Orval Sackett was general chairman for the evening. e Rocket Riding Club Plans Winter Meetings The Rocket Riding club, comin prised of young horse-lovers this area, has concluded its sum-me- i training. They appeared in the Peach Days Parades and at the Corinne rodeo on July 4, and enjoyed a horseback ride to Wil iard Basin, as well as practicing every week at the Rees Pioneer park. The group will hold meetings twice each month throughout the winter. The meetings will be held at the homes of the varand they will ious members stuoy topics of interest to the entire group as well as visit local points of interest. Visit Other Countries Mr. and Mrs. Bergstrom crossed the English Channel and visited points of interest in France, Germany, Italy, and the Worlds Fair at Brussels. They also toured Switzerland where they spent two days vacationing at Lake Lucerne, reporting that this spot was the loveliest of all in Europe. After touring the continent, returned to their sons they home in England where they visited until returning home. They spent two days at Somerset House searching through records for genealogy. They returned home on the SS New Amsterdam and report that they are happy to get back to the land of sunshine. They left New Jersey in with a group of 27 LDS people and three LDS missionaries enroute tc Holland. They traveled to Southampton, England on the SS Statendam. The Bergstroms were met at the Columbia club in London by then son, Major Airus Bergstrom, and his wile and three children. Maior Bergstrom is serving with the U. S. Air Force and is stationed near London. The young Bergstrom family makes their home at Beacon-field- , England. Mr. and Mrs. Bergstrom attended the first session of the dedication of the British LDS temple on Sept. 7 at Lingfield. Tour England Major Bergstrom took leave from his duties with the Air Force and escorted his parents on a tour of England, showing them all of the places of importance, including Westminster Palace Abbey, Buckingham where they saw the famous changing of the guards; House of Parliament, London Planetarium, Madam Tussauds wax museum, Winsor Castle, Balmoral Castle, Hyde Park, Sandringham House, St. Paul Cathedral, the Tower of London and the crown jewels, Picadilly Circus, Model Village.
