The game was played at Sniithfield and started at 4 oclock. Every seat in the bleachers and all around were all filled up. Hot dogs and all the other stuff was being sold, and the people were waiting for the tig game. The Bulldog diamond wasnt quite as good as the Bees had figured on, it was full of gully s and mounds of grass. At the end of the regular nine innings, the score was all knotted up at 9 all. But in the top half of the tenth frame, Harris led off. And by fate or luck or something, the Bees loaded the sacks on three costly Bulldog errors all in a row. Williams was the next man up and he popped out to the second base-maWith one away, Brlten-beke- r came to the plate and socked a game winning double into center scoring Harris and Wight. Lowe was the next man up and he was hit by a pitched ball to load the bases again. Murphy struck out for the second out. Rasmussen then socked a single through short and third. When the inning had ended, the Bees had poured six runs across the platter. Murphy went to the mound and trimmed the first three Bulldogs for the game and one step closer to the Region One title. was the Williams starting flinger for the Bees. In the fourth inning, he socked one over the right field fence for a clean home-run- . Even on such a rough playing field, both teams played a good game.
