Esther Watkins and Ruih Jensen, auxiliary members, invited to represent the east and west sides of the group in the quiz program. Jean Monyama sang, Far Away Places, and Warren Ferguson impersonated Professor Teitlc-bau- m in a special rendition of A1 Jolsons Showers." Beta Sigma Phi Members Celebrate Founders Day Anniversary With Banquet Held In Logan Weekly Dancing Party Twenty members of the Epsilon chapter of Beta Sigma Phi traveled to Logan Friday evening where they Joined that chapter in celebrating Founder's day and the 18th birthdate of the sorority. The theme of the banquet, held at the Bluebird cafe was centered around the Jewels of Life. Three large rings nestled in fern greens and made of fresh cut, dyed daisies represented the diamond for parents, the emerald for teachers and the ruby for our nations leaders. These centered the head table and ebony bowls of jellow ro.ses and flanked on either side by four tall ellow the burning tapers centered two long tables which w'ere placed in a U shape. Favors for each girl included a Swiss made handkerchief and dainty sachet baps. Elaine Ward led the opening ritual after which Pat Christensen of the Logan chapter led Star the group in singing Mildred Banner. Spangled Thayne then introduced Alice Young as the toastmistress for the evening. Sarah Quinney of Logan read the carrilion of prayer and toasts wore given the jewels (by Reva Nelson, Iona Cefalo and Jean Shonka. Lillian Felt and Jane Crompton sang Life Is A Friendly Road, and Louella Macfarlane read a mesage from Walter W. Ross, founder of the sorority. Saturday evening, six girls front the local chapter also attended the Founder's Day banquet held in Ogden.
