Mr. and Mrs. Buchanan received word that their Janea granddaughter Buchanan, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Buchanan of Chicago, III. underwent open heart surgery Wednesday, Oct. 12, in the hospital there. Ray Carlen of Heber City visited Monday and Tuesday with his sister Mrs. Sarah Giles. Mrs. Giles and her son and family Mr. and Mrs. Gene Giles, attended the LDS Ward Sacrament meeting on Sunday, Oct. 9, where her Taylorsville Eighth sustained as second counselor in the bishopric of that ward. Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Austin spent Sunday in Lehi visting with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. G. Austin and with his brother and family, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Austin. The Fruit Heights First LDS Ward held an adult dinner-danc- e Saturday evening. It was an affair where there was a couple chairman of each table who was in charge of linen, china and table decorations. Also each table had a waiter for the dinner that was served followed by dancing. It was a special evening for adults of the ward. Houseguests last week of Dwain Mr. and Mrs. Buchanan were his sister and brother-in-laMr. and Mrs. Ralph Hafen of Cedar City. Mr. and Mrs. Haven also visited in Bountiful with their son and his family, Mr. and Mrs. Keith Hafen. Mrs. Ruby Larkins of Irvine, Calif, and daughter and Mr. and Mrs. A1 Johnson and two children of Sacramento, Calif, have been son-in-la- visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Larkins. While there the Graves visited Williamsburg, did extensive sightseeing in the Petersburg area and drove along the Colonial Trail. They also spent a day in Washington D.C., at the Smithsonian museum. the After graduation Graves journeyed to the Charlottesville area and visited Monticello and other points of interest in that area. They visited with relatives in Ohio and Michigan, having the first family reunion in 25 years, saw Amish buggies rolling down the roads and visited the St. Gregorys Abbey in Three Rivers. Mich.
