CURTIS, who has been on the board since its organization in 1967, was granted honorary director status by unanimous vote of the directors. S. Tim Morris was elected to the board as representative of the WSC alumni, and also elected was Fred E. Hansen, representing the WSC Staff Association, replacing Mrs. Jean S. VARIOUS faculty and staff received programs approximately $9,000 and mmvwms over $37,000 was designated to various other programs of the college. Included in the totals were a number of gifts in kind including gifts to library special collections, paintings and electronic and scientific equipment. EXECUTIVE director Hurst noted in his report that $81,080 of the total private gifts received represented capital gifts earmarked for the Dee Events Center now l nearing completion. Mr. Hurst also pointed out that private giving totals did not reflect an additional $300,000 received over the past three years from the Dee Events Center chair donor campaign. THIS highly successful program has resulted in over Stacks and stacks of Richard W. Sadler, Douglas Brian, Thatcher Allred, William J. Critchlow, III., R. and A. Russell Croft. Weber State President Joseph L. Bishop and Dr. James R. Foulger are ex officio members and Jack B. Lampros is an honorary director. IN HIS financial report to the board, Chairman Nelson noted college development fund annual meeting gifts and grants of $300,085 were received by the college from the private sector during the past fiscal year. The largest category of giving came from private foundonated dations which $165,198 to various programs of the college. He pointed out that $107,885 was designated for student financial aid in the form of loan and scholarship programs.
