East 100 North, Kays-villdied Wednesday, Oct. 13, at his home of cancer. 171 1976 HE WAS born September 24, 1901 in Yellville, Arkansas a son of Ernest John and Zouella Perry Lewis. He was married to Edith Casey on October 28, 1923 in Yellville. The marriage was later Rites For Clifton R. Bird Clifton R. Bird died Monday at the Veterans Hospital in Salt Lake City following an extended illness. MR. BIRO, 55, resided at 224 E. 100 N. in Qearfield. He was bom Jan. 16, 1922, in Salina, Ut., a son of Brigham A. and Erma Rasmussen Bird. married to Della Powell in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They were later divorced. Mr. Bird had been a truck driver for Hill Air Force Base, retiring after 21 years of service. HE WAS HE SERVED in the Army during world war II. He moved to Clearfield in 1942 and was a member of the Clearfield Third LDS Ward. Surviving are one daughter, : iMrs. Ann Marie Prince, of feSalt Lake City; his mother of Clearfield; four brothers and one sister, Elmo Bird, Lorin Bird both of Clearfield; Blaine Bird, Jerome, Ida.; Elwood Bird, Las Vegas, Nev.; and Mrs. James R. (Wanda) Sullivan, Carson City, Nev. FUNERAL services were conducted last Thursday at the Clearfield Third Ward - r - chapel with Bishop Alfred C. VanWagenen officiating. Interment was in the South Morgan Cemetery. SERVICES included the family prayer by Ralph C. Lewis. Prelude and postlude music was by Vanda C. Lewis. A vocal duet by Bishop and Mrs. F. Burton Winters, Somewhere My Love. The invocation by James A. Davis with remarks by Bishop F. Burton Winters. Speaker was Leo Porter. A vocal duet by Bishop and Mrs. F. Burton Winters, Beyond the Sunset Speakers Walter Dale Francis and Bishop Wallace F. Allen. A MALE quartet performed O My Father. They were Lynn M. Nance, Joseph S. Kill, Arles Steiner and Robert M. Dunford. The benediction was by Gayle Starks and dedication of the grave by Gene E. Lewis. Pallbearers were Page Lewis, George Perry, Ellis W. Lewis, Clarence Wingate, Mark Gundelfinger and R.D.
