Show tuaron July 21, 1960 Pogo Syracuse I Sn News Th Boy Scoots Syracuse and Explorer group front ths 8yracue Second Ward left ear ly Monday morning for a weeks outing of camping biking and fishing in the Uinta Mountains. Tbs group of boys totaled twenty-four and they were accompanied on the trip by Francis Wigglll, chairman of the Post committee. Dale B. Thurgood, Explorer advisor; Robert Schofield, a member of the Post committee, and the following other men from the Ward, John A. Flint, Jim Rentmeister and John Thayne. Mr. aad Mrs. Smith Waite, and Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Hamblin, arrived home late Friday evening from two weeks vacation, and combined business trip. Mr. and Mrs. Waite journeyed by plane to North Carolina where they visited for one week with Mrs. Waites father and step mother, Mr. and Mrs. W. Calvin Waldron. From here they were met by Mr. and Mrs. Hamblin at Fort Valley, Georgia. Here each couple picked up a school bus for the Davis County school district and together they spent the remaining week traveling back to their homes here. The four children of Mi and Mrs. Waite spent their time as follows Shirlene Waite iMted her uncle and anut, Mr. and Mrs. Perce Watkins, at their home in Tremonton, Utah, their son Ricky visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Dean Showed at Jumper, Idaho, another son Larry remained in Syracuse with hu grandparents, Mr. and Mrs Victor Waite, and their youngest daughter Kayleen was a guest of an aunt, Mrs. David J. Paice of Clearfiled. The older Hamblin boys stayed at their home during their parents absence, and their young son and three daughters visited with close relatives in Syracuse. Mr. sad Mrs, Mark Johnson sre happy parents of a baby daughter. This is their third child. They have twins, a aon Harold, and a daughter Carol. The grandparent! in Syracuse are Mr. and Mr. Verne W. Rampton. Mr. and Mrs. Vance T. Bennett are proud parents of a S lb., 12 oz , baby daughter, who arrived last Friday evening, July 15. Their other two, Randy 7, and Lisa, three, art anxiously awaiting their return home from ths Des Hospital. The new wee sne has s host of grandparents, they include Mrs. Elton J. The White Horae Troupe originated from the White Horse Ranch In Naiper, Nebraska; and has been considered one of the finest horse group ever to be put out in the Country. All the horses on th White Horae Ranch are white; th buildings and fences are painted white; and they have white cows, white sheep, white goats, white cats, white ducks, white geese, and white turkeys. The Ranch is a show place for tourists coming into Nebraska. There are eight girls In the Troup. They rid bareback and in all of their jumps, they ride with their hands and arms in the air. Th girls have very colorful costumes and the Troupe makes a very spectacular showing in their four dif- in ferent acts.
