July 21, I960 r for fun Summer is the time m p Layton artists Baseball display works i ' W L Seen the art display by local Layton artists, yett Its located at 25 North Church St. and there are some very outstanding items on display. The exhibit, sponsored by B. M. Anderson in honor of his mother, the late Mrs. Hannah C. T. Anderson, was opened on July 4th and will be open from 1 to 4 p.m. every day until Sunday, July 24th. On ths 24th, it will bo open all day. Not only are there paintings in oils, water colors and pastels by adults, but several handicraft items and pencil drawings of the Layton by teen-agearea. Anyone in the Layton area who wishes to display their art or handicraft articles, is invited to do so, according to Mrs. Blair (Betty) Wlicox, who has spearheaded the display. Adult artists who have contributed some of their work to the display include: Lucille Stock, Bessie Clawson, Edward Savarese, Carol Owens, Earl Wixom, Harold Berg, Wilcox, and Claude Rivera. Teen-age- d are: contributors Larry Benton, Michael Gilmore, Phillis Wilcox and Vicki Gilmore. There are also three oil paintings on display that were completed by Mrs. Anderson, in whose honor the versatile exhibit is being held.
