They fell the following day 43 -39 to Grantsville in their second home game. They then traveled to Price on Tuesday, December 16 and suffered a 56 - 22 thump from the Carbon Dinos. The Lady Utes were over-helmed in the first quarter against Grantsville and trailed 20 - 1 1 at the end of the period. While Uintah recovered and enjoyed a 14 - 6 scoring advantage in the second quarter and ended the first half down by only one point, 26 - 25, they were never able to undo the damage. Grantsville added a point to their lead in the third then crept ahead by another two points in the final quarter to win the contest by four points. Maggie Bartel led the Lady Ute scoring effort with 12 points, three of which came from a successful shot from the long line. Karalee McKee scored 8 points, Jamie Justice and Laticia Herkshan each added 6, Sara Cushing 3 and Tiffany Peterson and LeBaron each added a pair. Grantsville had two plavers in double figures, Chaney and Nelson for 16 and 14 points each, respectively. Cole scored 6, Titmus 3 and Reed and Hale each added 2. Cole was credited with the only Grantsville three-poishot. In Price, the Lady Utes had their hands full defensively. The Dinos had two players in double figures and three more with nine points each. Carbon also scored in double figures in each of the four quarters while the Lady Utes never did. At the half. Carbon led 29 11. They added 37 more points in the second half while Uintah added 11. Bartel put up seven points on the boards for Uintah with six coming from the three-poiline. McKee was the next highest Lady Ute offensively with 4 points.
