LaWana Eldon Webb are and parents and Elaine Webb of Paris, Idaho. January 5 the Bear Lake Ward Girls Volleyball Team played against the St. Charles team coached by The Laurels Deann Rasmussen. (14-1from Bear Lake won year-old- s 11-lost and won 2 to take the match. The Scouts would like to announce their annual supper at the Bear Lake Ward Tuesday, January 17 at 6:00 p.m. This year the menu will be a roast beef supper with all the trimmings. The community is invited and there is no charge. However, to support Scouting, the annual Sustaining Membership Enrollment (SME) drive will begin. So please give generously to those who. come to call at your house. Mae Hodges passes away... Mae Lavina Pope Hodges passed away January 5, 1984. She was born February 10, 1907 to Burton and Lavina Gardner Pope in Garden City, Utah. She was married to Ross W. Hodges on September 21, 1927, in the Logan, Utah Temple. She lived all her life in Garden City and served in Primary and Mutual for many Mae worked at Sterlings years. for 20 years. January 5 the Laketown Ward Girls Volleyball tern traveled to Liberty and the Beehives were defeated in two sets. The Laurel and MIA Maid team won in two sets. Well have scores next week. The ' Bear Lake Ward Relief Society held their monthly activity meeting Tuesday, January 10 and made childrens toy fences. Patterns were available for snowmobile mittens and gaitors. There will be a sledding party sponsored by the Young Men of the Bear Lake Ward Saturday, January 14. Everyone in the community is invited.
