X X The Senior Citizens of Garden Since the paper has been published here in Rich County we have enjoyed it very much. Your paper has taken a real interest in our community and they have given us better coverage than we have had in a long time. Your reporters seem to look for the positive stories and are not always digging for dirt. We realize that it takes money to run a paper. Garden City has committed to use your paper for all of it's legal notices, etc. It may not amount to a lot of money, but we will still continue to support you. We hope you can make arrangements to hold on until advertisements can carry your financial City meet each Monday and Thursday at 11:30 a.m. for luncheon at the Lakeview Cafe. The service is open to anyone 60 years or older. The Senior Citizens also travel to Logan the first Friday of each month. Paul Webb Mayor by Ruth Smith Cheryl Russell, the newly ap- pointed Rich County Attorney, New County Attorney - be offered at the Paris, Idaho middle school. You may contact Jeri. Crawford of Paris for more information. Crawford of Paris for more - officially took over the duties of that office this week. She was appoint- ed by the three Rich County commissioners to fill the vacated office left by attorney Richard Lamborns resignation. Cheryl will be in the county most Tuesdays for court. On Wednesday she will be available also for Rich County business. Cheryl has a private practice in She commonly handles Logan. criminal defense cases, custody battles, divorce cases, and wills. She has been the Cache County Public Defender for seven years. She also served as the Rich County Public Defender last year. This was her first contact with the county. She was born in Tooele. She spent her earlier years in St. John, on her grandfathers ranch. Her are Ernest and Donna grandparents Weyland. Later she moved with her family to Logan where her father is a teacher at Mount Crest High School. Cheryl graduated from Utah State University with a political science degree. She received her law degree in 1976 from Brigham Young University. She feels privileged to have been associated with some influential and famous professors at the Y. Dean Rex Lee who is currently Solicitor General of the United States and Dallin Oaks who presently serves on the supreme court of Utah were among her instructors. The quiet atmosphere and the good people that live in Rich County are two factors that she especially enjoys in the county. She is excited about working in Rich County. Cheryl has bought an older house in Logan and is in the process of remodeling the house herself. She lives with her parents, Melvin and She has three Barbara Russell. sisters and one brother. She enjoys skiing, scubba diving, basketball, handicrafts, hunting and camping. New Baby Welcomed Russell and Debbie Stacey have a new baby daughter at their house. Friday, December 30, they went to Salt Lake City to the Social Services Offices at Welfare Square to pick up -- their new baby daughter. They have named their baby girl Sharon. She weighed 7 lb. 10 oz. and was 21 Vi inches long. Adam, a four and a half year old brother, is at home to help with his new sister. Sharons grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Stacey from Woodruff, and Ila Nipper from Pleasant Grove. She has two Ethel Williams from Froft-burMaryland, and Lily Faircloth from Cordelle, Georgia. great-grandmother- s, g, Sharon Stacey has had a busy day and prepares to hit the hay. by Lowell Hance. |
