Some 1,850 feet of 41 gravity green oil was recovered in the drill pipe after hour test. A small a 3 and one-haamount of natural gas also was produced. Nearest production to the wildcat well is the Indian Ridge field about 7 miles to the southeast. The new well will be drilled to a total depth of approximately 8,500 feet in the Wasatch formation. At the Dry Piney field, approximately 11 miles northwest of LaBarge, Wyoming, natural gas was found in a sand deeper than the present producing zone during a drill stem test of the Bear River formation at a depth between 8,205 and 8,300 feet, Mr. Fidlar said. The well (Dry Piney Unit No. 17) produced at the rate of 1,120,000 cubic feet of gas per day during the test. NATURAL GAS presently is being produced from the Frontier formation of the Dry Piney field at depths between 6,600 and 7,300 feet, but not from the Bear River formation. The new well is pro- jected to be drilled to the Nugget sandstone at an approximate depth of 11,800 feet. Last month, Mountain Fuel made another natural gas discovery, this one in the Leucite Hills area of Wyoming, approximately 18 miles north of Rock Springs. In final production tests, the well flowed at a rate of cubic feet of gas a day tubthrough 2 and 38th-inc- h ing with a flowing tubing pressure of 760 psig (pounds per square inch gauge) and a casing pressure of 1,425 psig.
