Featured for the evening performances were the four state soloists, Roger Thorpe (2), tuba; Sara Imler 2), flute; Kayla Rice ( D state winner on clarinet, Jordan Black , euphonium. The theme of the con-- ; cert is Music the Rhythm of Life. The Chorus has had an outstanding season, capped off with Superior rating at State Choral Festival last weekend. Members of the Chorus have also received Superior ratings at State Solo and Ensemble Festival. Juab Boys Team ended placing 2nd On May 1 and 15 the teams w ill travel to BYU Robinson Stadium for the State Championship Meet. Boys team is currently ranked 3rd and the Girls team is ranked Jth. Both teams are striving to advance in their current rankings. 1 The outstanding pitcher was Zac Diamond, who allowed only earned runs, and had 1 trikeouts. The outstanding hitters were Tyler Olsen w ith 2 doubles; Trevor Jones with 2 singles, an RBI and 2 stolen bases; Colby Park with a single and RBI; Justin Jones with a single; Dan Thomas w Juab had an outstanding season and finishes with an overall record of 14 w ms and 7 loses. Juab ended tied for Region Champs and region record was 10 wins and 2 7 -- loses Donna Mangelson Davis completes Mangelson small high school choruses in the State this year. In addition to their competition and other specialty numbers, the Chorus will present a medley of songs from Les Miserables, an exciting musical production. The concert is free and open to the public. Lorraine Wallace, director of the JHS Chorus, said, Come out for an enjoyable evening of musical entertainment. This is a great group. Come hear them sing. Juab traveled to Gunnison last Saturday to day Beaver in front of huge Juab crowd and lost Juab struggled hitting the ball in the early innings and fell behind before scoring 5 runs in the 5th inning and run in the (ith inning to keep the game close. Juab had several errors that allowed Beaver to get the big lead. Juab had 6 runs, 6 hits and 7 errors.
