They were married in Nephi on December 24, 1935. Their marriage was later solemnized in the St. George LDS Temple. They have lived in Nephi and Henderson, Nevada. Burnett retired from T.M.A.C. in Henderson, Nevada, in 1982. Veda has been a homemaker most of her life. They have both worked in many church position. They are the parents of two children, Annette (Ron) Parkin, and Richard Stephensen, deceased. Thirteen members were present. President Jane Jepson conducted a business session and led the Pledge ofAllegiance. Ina Morgan gave the prayer; minutes were read by Dorothy Nielsen. President Jepson urged members to bring their Pioneer Artifacts to future meetings. She displayed a copy of the 1st Edition of the Deseret News the second oldest daily newspaper west of the Missouri River, and told the story of its origin which is printed in the PIONEER magazine. .
