Dr. Jay Karren, USU Extension entomologist, will speak at the meeting, to be held at the Extension office in the Juab County Courthouse. Wheat and barley in Juab County, as well as that in surrounding counties, had a very serious problem with the aphid this past summer, says Jeff Banks, county Extension agent. Without some proper planning, the aphid could cause even more problems next year," he continued. We would invite all growers who will be planting wheat or barley this fall or next spring to attend the meeting," says Banks. Anyone having questions about the meeting should contact the Extension office at 623-179- 1. |
