I have spent many hundreds of hours in working and negotiating with the Cypher and Jones companies and their representatives as they have patiently and persistently pursued the purchase and reopening of the NRP rubber plant in Nephi. I have visited and inspected their plants and offices in the Midwest and East and have met many of their employees. I have found clean, modern, and plants and and facilities; loyal, hardworking people. The Cypher-Jone- s group consists of The Cypher Company, owned by Robert Cypher of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Jones well-organiz- The Times-New- s Nephi, Utah October 10, 1985 Enterprises, owned by the Keith Jones family of LaPorte, Ind. A Jones division, has been the largest customer of NRP for several years, and the Cypher Company has been one of the top five largest customers for some years. The Cypher and Jones companies have had a working business relationship for the past 15 years.
