Randy Freston of Uintah Engin-errinadvised the board that routing through Juab County had been finalized by the State Department of Transportation. Freston was asked at the last meeting of the board to write the commission a letter expressing the views of a number of Levan residents concerning the placement of the Levan interchange closer to Levan. The board received the resignation of Elden C. Sherwood as Justice of the Peace, effective December 31. The board will receive applications for the position until the regular meeting of the board on December 5. The board called for bids on coal tribution of almost $400 to the Nephi Jaycees for the purchase of candy for the annual Santa Claus visit on November 26. The council also authorized expenditures of $50 for both the ambulance association and the fire department to help defray the expenses of Christmas parties for members of the groups. The royalty will be selected by ticket vote at the dance. The dance is being sponsored by the Mt. Nebo Chapter of the Future Farmers of America, the Juab High School chapter of the Future Home makers of America, and the Nephi LDS Stake youth council. Those attending the dance should wear best dress, the sponsors say. School dance standards will be upheld. Music for the dance will be furnished by the Taxi dance band. Admission prices are $2 per person.
