Show Grazers on BLM land must be branded All livestock authorized to graze on national resource lands administered by the Department of the Interiors Bureau of Land Management will have to be branded under new regulations which became effective October 23. Paul L. Howard, BLM state director for Utah, pointed out that all licensees and permittees will still have to comply with state branding laws and regulations. However, the new federal regulations will enable BLM personnel to exercise more control over livestock trespass and will facilitate the administration the Wild, Horse and Burro Act. To graze on the national resource lands after October 23, all cattle, horses, and burros over six months of age must carry a brand which has been filed with the BLM district manager. All sheep and goats over six months old must be identified with earmarks, paint brands, or other markings filed with the BLM district manager. Howard said that alternative methods of identifying show animals have been adopted, in order not to detract from the animals appearance. of Free-Roamin- g Wasps lose game to South Sevier Friday South Sevier High Scnoui s football team beat the Juab High School Wasps by a score of 8 to 6 in a game played last Friday afternoon.
