Mangelson and family of Payson were guests at the LeGrande Mangelson home. Visitors over the Memorial holiday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. E. S. Powell were Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Powell and children of Malad, Idaho; and Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Powell and family of Nephi. Levan ladies rhold quilting : - 'Western art' program held by Lit-a-Lu- re Donnell Blackham presented a program on Western Art at a recent meeting of the Club. Using an overhead project, Mr. Blackham showed paintings and drawings of famous western artists and reviewed their life and works. According to Mr. Blackham, in the days when the west was being explored there was no photography so it was up to the artists and reporters to draw and write what they saw. Each artist viewed the old west differently. Some of the most famous western artists were George Catlin, Frederic Remington, Thomas Moran and Charles Russell. Club members present were Mrs. James Anderson, Mrs. Carl Wilkey, Mrs. J. E. Andrews, Mrs. Elden Sherwood, Mrs. F. A. Heppler, Mrs. Merle White, Mrs. J. W. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Nyman visited over the weekend in Logan with Mrs. Orvin Nyman, Miss Edith Nyman, Mr. and Mrs. Rodney Nyman, and Willard Hill. On Sunday, they attended sacrament meeting in Springville and witnessed the blessing and naming of Roger D. Nyman, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Nyman. Following the meeting, they attended a family at the Stephen Nyman home. Other guests were Mr. and Mrs. Glen Lewis and family and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Rose and family, all of Salt Lake City; Mr. and Mrs. Dale Berg and family of Heber; and Mr. and Mrs. Cye Young of Boise, Idaho. Mr. and Mrs. Newell Green and children of Salt Lake City were weekend guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. George D. Raymond Jr. Other visitors on Memorial Day at the Raymond home were Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Thompson and family of Springville. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Makin and family of Bountiful visited on Memorial Day with Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Murray and Mrs. LaVere Haynes. Mrs. Ada Blackham of Ogden is visiting for a few days this week with Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Jarrett. On Memorial Day, Mrs. Blackham and Mrs. Jarrett visited in Mt. Pleasant with Mrs. V. H. Gunderson.
