Dixon of Ukiah, California announce the engage-- ! ment of their daughter, Miss Janice Marie Dixon, to Paul G. Paystrup, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence E. Paystrup of Levan. The wedding date has been set for June 10 at the Oakland Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-da-y Saints. A garden reception will follow at the Dixon home. An open house will be held later at Levan. Miss Dixon is a student at the Brigham Young University, where she has been chosen representative of the College Republicans from B. Y. Buck, was reviewed at the Booklore Club meeting by Mrs. Ralph E. Chase. Mrs. James Smith was hostess, and Mrs. Wallace Garrett, club president, conducted the meeting. In reviewing the novel of China today, Mrs. Chase pointed out that Madame Liang was a woman of many secrets. Hidden In her quarters above the restaurant she managed was a cache of a hoard forbidden to any emgold ployee of the State. Mrs. Chase stated that Madame Liang was the mothers of three daughters, and that the story is typical of any mother interested in the welfare of her children. She sent her daughters to America where they would be free from the rigid governmental restraint of Communist China, and safe from the revenge of the peasants who were in power. Great grandparents are Mrs. Bea Twltchell of Salem and Mrs. Lillie Tronchell of Springville. one-year-o-ld Eight Levan, Mona Residents Varietfe Club Members On Agricultural Tour Eight residents of Juab County reCattleturned Saturday from a YH.t qMB mens tour to Southern Utah, Arizona, Mexico and Nevada. Those who were on the tour from this area were Mr. and Mrs. Vem Mangelson, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Powell, Farrell Wankier and Leo Wankier of Levan, and Mr. and Mrs. Herman Young of Mona. The tour, sponsored by Utah State University Animal Science Department and the USU Extension Service, included stops at Glen Canyon Dam; Flagstaff, Phoenix, Tucson, Nogales, San Carlos, Kingman, Las Vegas, and St. George. According to Herman Young, Mona cattleman, they especially enjoyed visiting the large feed lots and range operations. Many interesting articles were shown, such as painted and embroidered linens, jewelry, knitted sweaters, crochet rugs, ponchos, belts, pieced quilts, rag dolls and toys, leather purses, mens ties, a wedding dress, robes, a cape and other clothing. Tile art, ceramics, paintings in oil, pencil and water color, model rocket, writings, poems and a song also were among items displayed. A cookie jar was passed with a fortune cookie for each to enjoy and read her fortune.
