A program will follow the dinner. Glenn Paystrup of Provo spent the week end in Levan with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence E. Paystrup. Sunday visitors at the Paystrup home included Paul Paystrup and Miss Jan Dixon of Provo, Mr. and Mrs. James C. Paystrup and three children of Springville, and Raymond Paystrup of Tooele. Mrs. Diane Ballow, Mrs. Mary Aagard, Mrs. Viola Shepherd of Levan and Mrs. Hazel Garrett of Nephi were in Lindon Monday evening to attend a shower for Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Andrews. Mr. and Mrs. Tom May of Sait Lake City spent the weekend with Mrs. Mays uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Winter. On Saturday they enjoyed snow-mobilin- g. Dinner guests Sunday at the home of Mrs. Loise Taylor was hostess at a dinner party at her home recently, for her cousins, their wives and husbands, and children. Enjoying the affair were Mr. and Mrs. James Taylor and son Bradley of Levan, Mr. and Brs. Mark Jorgensen and son Shane, Mr. and Mrs. Bard Smith and son Michael, Mr. and Mrs. David Bailey and son Paul of Provo, Mr. and Mrs. Dale Bailey and daughter Stacey of Salt Lake City, and the hostess, Mrs. Louise Taylor and daughters Mary Louise and Susan. Guests over the weekend at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Erhardt Bendixen were their son, Keith Bendixen and four children of Sait Lake City. Other visitors on Saturday were Homer Bendixen and son Lewis, also of Salt Lake City. Mrs. Edna Peterson was in Nephi on Sunday to attend sacrament meeting where the new son of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Bryan was blessed and given the name of Larry Craig Bryan. Following the meeting she enjoyed a dinner at Mickelsons Cafe with the family. M. and Mrs. Ray Winter were Mr. and Mrs. Victor Collard of Nephi. On Thursday of last week, Mr. and Mrs. Leon Madsen and daughter Connie of Orem were visitors at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. Mr. and Mrs. Reuben Mangelson attend- Lit-A-Lu- ftjjrr, . Fourteen members of the Juab County Sheriffs Patrol spent the weekend in the west desert of Juab County. The Club members enjoyed an evening of past United States history when they met on February 3 at the home of Mrs. Ed. P. Cox. Mrs. Ray W. Worthington gave a very Interesting and informative review of the book, The Man from Monticello an intimate story of the life of Thomas Jefferson by Thomas Fleming. Mrs. Worthington told of visiting Williamsburg, the capital of Virginia, last summer, and displayed many pictures and brochures, and told of the historical points of interest and how Williamsburg had been restored. She was impressed with the beauty and charm of the old gardens and buildings. In her review of the book, Mrs. Worthington pointed out that Thomas Jefferson was a tall young Virginia lawer, who loved his beautiful but failing wife, the hilltop mansion he built and called Monticello, his books, his inventions and country life. He was selected, sho reported, over his protests, to draw up the Declaration of Independence. Although this manuscript was heavily edited and scrutinized, t was still his creation. The reviewer told that he became the governor of war-tor- n Virginia, Americas ambassador to Paris, Washingtons secretary of state, vice president under Adams, and the third president of the United States. Bela Club Member Enjoy 'Brag Night' at Ludlow Home The Beta Literary Club members enjoyed a Brag Night at the home of Mrs. Jack Ludlow on Thursday, February 3. The Senior Citizens enjoyed an interesting film on the LDS Primary Childrens Hospital at the center on February 2nd, shown by Milo Cazier. Following the film, those in attendance enjoyed community snging, accompanied by Mrs. Prlsbrey.
