Show NephI, Juab County, Utah 84648 Levan Area News Lamb Day Set for July 17 Fountain Green An invitation is extended to all Juab County residents, and those of the surrounding area, to attend the annual Lamb Day and Homecoming Celebration to be held in Fountain Green July 16 and 17. This is the big day when this community celebrates the beginning of the wool industry, which gave the community the title of "The Wool City during the early days of the century. Residents join in the invitation Welcome to our City, all friends and former citizens. Come and join us for a pleasant and wonderful day. Visit with your relatives and neighbors. Selected to reign over the celebration as Lamb Day Queen is Miss Margie Ann Olsen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jay L. Olsen. Attendants are Miss Rowena Allred, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Allred, and Miss Beatrice Cook, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Scott Cook. The celebration will begin Friday, July 16 at 5 p.m. with the fat lamb Lamb competition at the city park. raisers between six and 19 years of age may enter choice lambs in the competition. The judges will select first, second and third place winners, and on Saturday these winning lambs will be auctioned off to the highest bidders.
