I was one day out of Sitka, Alaska when catastrophe hit out of the blue. The trip had been planned for a while - four day stay in Atlanta, GA with one son, two days in Florida with my sister and then a weeks Caribbean Cruise, back to Florida, then Chicago to the other son, whose daughter was being Bat Mitzvahed, and finally home to Sitka. in the And heres how it played out. The plane was just landing Atlanta airport when I also landed, on the floor of the plane. Through I heard a voice say, Is there a doctor or a nurse on the a I raised plane? We have a medical emergency. I dont know how, but short my hand and said, Me (I was a nurse for 60 years). Within a time, I had an oxygen mask, an I.V. in my arm and the Atlanta Fire Department medics were doing an EKG. I had told someone on the plane that my son would be meeting me, so one of the medics went out to the baggage area, saw a young man hanging around the baggage area and said, Are you Freda Arons son? The first thing my son althought was, Thats my Mom, shes here only a few minutes and ready everyone knows her. They brought him onto the plane, where he found me surrounded by people, but not having a fun time. Naturally, everything changed. A long hospital stay in the emergency room where much was done, but nobody came back to report the results. After hanging around about four hours, I pulled the oxygen off my nose, took out the I.V. still in my arm and told my son, Lets get out of here before they kill me altogether. We did just that and I had the best nights sleep in a long time. By the way, no one ever called me back to report any of the findings. The next day, started making rounds of doctors, lab units, and more of the same for the next three weeks. The cruise had been canceled. etc., There were imagings beyond belief... MRIs, MRAs, A but on brain etc. the Conclusion: tumor small definitely etc., - a meningioma - most but subject to seizures, dizziness, and for older people like me, other reactions. had the best explanation for what happened. My daughter-in-laand pronounced her verdict. I see a small She looked at all the bump but I also see a couple dancing on your brain, and all is well again. So, no more need to worry, the dancing goes on and I will keep dancing as long as Im able to and as long as I live. And, long may they dance, the couple on my brain!!! Because as long as they keep dancing, I shall keep pace.
