Show Focus on San Juan School District Twenty years ago, the only thing that told a teacher what to teach in class was the textbooks they were given. Education in a particular grade level could look quite different from district to district throughout the state. Now, thanks to years of hard work by many education professionals, we have the Utah Core Curriculum, which assures that every student in every classroom in Utah will be taught the basic skills required for their grade level.
