Show THE SAN JUAN RECORD Wednesday, May 21, 2003 - 14 Page Athletes close season at track meet Local athletes participated in the last high school sports event of the year at the State track meets held May 16 and 17 at Brigham Young University in Provo. Quinn Dowell, a senior at Monticello High School, closed his high school sports career by winning the state championship in the long jump. The Buckaroo medley relay team finished in fourth place and the 400 meter relay team finished in fifth. Members of the relay teams include Dowell, Martinez, Dave Anderson, Matt Torres, and Siaosi Huavi. David Dalton of San Juan High School finished in second place in the discus and fourth place in the shotput to pace the Bronco effort. This trail is a loop trail which starts in lower Comb Wash below Highway 191.
