Show THE SAN JUAN RECORD Wednesday, May 21, 2003 - !;( 9 High School graduation services f Navajo Mountain High t School will present diplomas to 11 students on May 2S at 10 a.m. in the school gym. Dale Jensen is the Valedictorian & ' n and Crystalyn Jensen is the Salutatorian. Teddy Draper, Sr. will be the guest speaker. Mr. Draper was a Code Talker in the Second World War. San Juan High School will hold their graduation ceremony on May 29 at 5 p.m. in the school gym. There will be 85 graduates. Suma Cum Laude speakers will be Erin Cochran, Jody Hurst and Logan Shumway. Allysa Yellowman and Bill Redd will be featured speakers. On May 30 at 2 p.m., 19 Monument Valley High School seniors will graduate in the school gym. Class Valedictorian is Melinda Dee, who will also be receiving her Associates degree from CEU. Salutatorian is Valerina Adakai. Keynote speaker will be Dr. Laura Arviso-Alvorthe first Navajo female surgeon. She is the subject of the book Scalpel and the Silver Bear. d, On May 3, 2003 Landon G. Ramsay and his wife, Jacey Thomas Ramsay, graduated with honors from Southern Utah University. Landon was chosen by his professors as the outstanding student in the Art Department. He graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in the College of Performing and Visual Arts. Jacey graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree (magna cum laude) in the field of Elementary Education. She will finish her student teaching this summer in South Jordan and Las Vegas. Courtesy photo Monticello High School will graduate 45 seniors this year at ceremonies on May 30 at 7 p.m. in the school auditorium. Class Valedictorian is Quinn Dowell and Salutatorian is Katie Pehrson. On May 31 at 10 a.m., 29 Whitehorse High School seniors will receive diplomas in the school gym. Tasheena Madison is the class Valedictorian and Shanteal Mitchell is the Salutatorian. Kenneth Joe, longtime teacher who is retiring this year, will be their featured speaker. Busy time at MHS Tyler William Cook The last two weeks of school are always hectic and busy. This year at Monticello High School is no different.
