Show Cross Currents 14 November 20, 1998 best bet Cabaret Diosa Latin swing Fri., Nov. 12, 9:30 p.m. San Juan Room, 601 E. 2nd Durango (970) 3829880 Concerts Frilly blue tuxedos, red satin dresses and women named 'Lola' are not uncommon sights at these 'little big band' shows. Cabaret Diosa, hailed as 'Boulder's new dance phenomenon,' says their only mission is 'to make people dance.' Any fashion faux pas' committed are purely beyond their control but highly likely. With a repertoire of classics from Cuba, Brazil, Hollywood and Spansih Horlem spanning the '30s-'60s- , these shows have been known to get very hot. However, dancers coming to swing dance should be forewarned. 'You can swing to this music, singer David Sherman told the Boulder Weekly, but it's not meant to be swung to.' Instead, think Desi Amaz and be ready to rumba, chocha and mambo the night away. 66 becrel e t arnage iVedding Ring Annual J Cl oose i L oose Diamon J Event November 27, 28, an i 29 rom tke largest; selection Of Over One Tkousand jgRings an J including Platinum GIA o( from Ladies Wadding and G old designs, Anniversary Pings ru3,;1L a Wedding our special selection of .Loose Select a diamond and setting ring WTtkin custom-design- ed B ands, and Diamonds. and receive Two 66 K nowmg Jf or tkis event. o.
