When the two strange kittens, Nosey and Pinky, the same size and apparently the same age as her own, appeared on the scene Mamacita was not overly enthused. They were partially grown, but still definitely in the kitten category. While the mama cat didnt seem to have a mothers love for these intruders, she did not drive them away. The six kittens grew and interacted as if they were all siblings, and at every opportunity they all took nourishment from Mamacita. a few months the were kittens growing out of the baby stage. They were becoming big enough, in fact, that Mamacita was fed up with the whole situation. She would spit and slap at them until it was evident, to the humans at least, that she wanted them to move on to find their own homes. This attitude continued for several months. The Baron felt that Mamacita was going to have more kittens, she seemed to be so heavy and cumbersome. Then one day at The Manor, he saw the mother cat jump on the edge of the watering trough. She did just as the Baron turned on the pump to fill that receptacle. The water came out with such a loud, this frightening rush that the mother cat leaped about 40 feet in the air. Its hard to understand how cats know exactly where a person is going to step, but At least they always manage to be in the exact spot where one wants they do. to step. It doesnt help much, either, that all six of those cats go out to meet the pickup each time it drives into The Manor. The driver must then watch carefully to make sure all those felines are out of the way. It was bad enough before snowfall. Then the cats did have a chance to move off the road. Things are infinitely worse now. With the snow piled up in banks on either side of the roadway the cats stay right in front of or under that pickup.
